Patricia Jacobs of my home church, International Gospel Center, accompanied me on the trip. It was her first time to Haiti. Our church was gracious in being a part of the trip by donating two big suitcases full of groceries. Our plane developed engine trouble one and a half hours out of the Dallas airport. They turned around returning back to the airport. The delay caused us to miss our connecting flight from Miami to Port-au-Prince, which was the last flight out that day. The airlines put us up in the airport motel and gave us food vouchers. Romans 8:28 still works. We arrived in Port-au-Prince, at 10:30 AM the same day the seminar was to start. Bro. Bill Burch picked us up at the airport. The airport road is a hot spot, where a lot of robberies and killings are taking place. A week before we arrived a Haitian lady school principal was robbed and killed by a Voo-do-Priest. Another Haitian lady coming from New York, was robbed and killed on her way home from the airport. God's Angels of protection surrounded our van. I was setting in front, the doors were locked, but it was very hot, so the windows were down. Bro. Burch saw the boys coming to my side intending to grab my purse and jewelry, quickly he rolled up the window. United Nations are doing a great job in improving the road conditions. I've been to Haiti several times but it was my first time to have an experience like that. In spite of the opposition God moved in a mighty way during the seminar. Three of the ladies accepted Christ in their lives. CMA furnished the food and helped with the travel expenses for those that needed help. Thanks to our CMA partners for making this seminar possible. The following are testimonies from Marlene Burch, Patricia Jacobs and two of the ladies attending the seminar. Marlene Burch The seminar held at the Mission of Faith In Action, March 5&6 with Helen Redman was a great success. The ladies came from several areas of the Island. Most of the ladies gave testimonies how their lives were changed by attending. I feel that they will never be the same. The anointing was so strong and we will never know the impact that these seminars have on the lives of these ladies. They show so much excitement and some already ask when the next one will be. Not only were the ladies encouraged but we had three ladies to accept Jesus. That I would say was worth it all. Thanks Sis. Helen for coming and having another ladies seminar. Looking forward to your next visit. Pat Jacobs While at the women's seminar in Haiti held at the Faith in Action Mission. I saw and heard God in his Goodness moving in the lives of people, first through Mrs. Helen Redman with her immovable strength and trust in God. Her words were His words spoken with much conviction and confidence. I saw the people receive with joy and believe the good news of the gospel as it was ministered to them with great love and kindness. I was touched by the great love shown by our host the Burch Missionaries in Haiti for 16 years now doing the work of Jesus keeping the Faith in love. Also I received my calling to the Ministry with very clear instructions from the Lord Psalms. My life is changed forever, I have passed the point of no return. Allean I have learned when my children and my husband give me problems. I can speak to the evil thing and tell it to leave my family and my house because Jesus has given me that power. Bonita I was very sick and God completely healed me. I have learned through this conference that God is for me He is my everything. After the words spoken today the Holy Spirit has spoke to me I want to do what he has told me to do. ESTONIA & AMSTERDAM LADIES SEMINAR, MAY 1ST-15THCMA was privileged in August of 1995 to hold the first ladies seminar ever held in Viljandi. This will also be our first ladies seminar with the Netherlands ladies, to he held in Amsterdam, Holland. We will be working with Rev. K.R. Crispus. Pastors Lloyd and Regina Blount of Hammond, LA, and Sis Lurie Dantin of Golden Meadow, LA will join me to help with the teaching, for there will be several sessions, each day and night services open to the public. Missionaries Don and Hai Willard of Estonia are working with CMA in setting the ladies seminar up. It is to be held in the same area of Viljandi which is the center of the country, making it the best location of all. Brother Willard has expressed a need for the Estonian women to be taught how to be a woman, how to have self confidence, to minister as a woman and how to be a wife and mother in the home. How does God fit into their lives at home? Can they really be somebody? How can they be aUractive to their husbands? How can they pray and why should they pray? Does God really hear me as a woman? We are unable to do this without your help. Please pray and ask God what He would have you to do toward planting seeds into the Estonia and Netherland women's lives. Please designate on your check Ladies Seminar. Thank you in advance for being a partner. |
