NEW YEAR'S GREETINGS

Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth to those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  (Phil. 3:13,14)

We are standing at the threshold of the new year, of our untried tomorrows.  As we go forth to conquer the challenges that lie ahead, we must remind ourselves of what we have in Christ Jesus: I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me, (that is, I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency), Phil. 4:13 Amplified Bible.

We must renew our relationship with Christ, as Paul said, "forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before." To have a future we must forget the past.

It is part of our nature to want to live in the yesterdays of life, in "the days that come not back again."  We would rather relive the strifes, the bad habits, the heartaches, and stumbling steps, than to face the uncertain.

"The Road Not Taken" poem, written by David Frost, talks about two roads diverged into a wood.  I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.  We are standing at the parting of the ways.  There is a choice to make, which road to take, and we must consider how is it we intend to live?  Will it be repetitious of the past?

We can't see what lies ahead, but we know the one who holds the future, and as we keep our eyes upon Him, we can face the Dawn of the New Year with confidence.

The Road Not Taken
by David Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.

DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY OPEN

There is a great challenge in standing on the verge of the unknown.  There are great doors of opportunity opening on the Mission field.  Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.  Rev. 3:8.

Ladies seminars are being set up in the spring for Estonia, the Netherlands and Haiti.  A ladies seminar will be held in ,Amsterdam, on our way back from Estonia.  All the women of the Netherlands including Women's Aglow, will participate.  This is a new door for CMA.  God is moving in all third world countries to let women know they are very special to Him.  Through the years they have been so suppressed down, with no self-worth, or value.  I can relate to them, for I have been where they are.  It has been exciting, to learn my identity in Christ and to know I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.  Phil. 4:13.

In order to go through these doors, we need seed faith partners.  It is you that enables us to reach out to these women letting them know how special they are to God.  If you are not a partner in this ministry, please pray about planting seeds that will reap a mighty harvest around the world.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRIS AND PATRICIA REDMAN

Patricia had a 2 lb., 5 oz. boy, born November 30th.  They named him Caleb Joshua.  She was in her 32nd week of pregnancy.  Because of infection setting in, the doctors decided to induce labor.  They will keep him at the hospital till his weight reaches 4 lbs.  He is now 2 1/2 weeks old and weights 2 lbs, 8 oz.  Chris and Patricia go about everyday to the hospital after Chris gets off from work.  (120 miles round trip)

Chris asked me to thank you, for all your prayers and financial help during this critical time.  He wanted to apologize for not being able to send a personal thank you to each.  If you feel to help them, in relieving some of the financial burden, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated.  Please make your check to CMA designated for Chris Redman.  Caleb Joshua Redman, is my fourth great grandson.

Your financial contributions toward travel expenses for the seminars are greatly appreciated.  Please designate on your check the seminar you wish to help with.

We'd love to hear from you:
