NEW YEAR'S GREETINGS

As we enter 2001, new doors of opportunity are opening for CMA.  As we go through these doors, God's promise is that "every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given you."  Several times in Joshua 1, he was admonished by God to be strong and courageous.  "As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."  When we are instruments in His hands, God leads and we follow.  He promises to be with us.  We find our strength is in the Lord and in the power of His might.  What greater fortification could a person ask for than this?  When God calls us for a task, He stands back of us.

NEW DOORS OPEN IN FIJI ISLANDS JUNE 2001

I received an E-mail from Pastor and Missionary Marion Male of Labasa, Fiji in March of 2000 inviting me to come to hold ladies meetings.  Marion heard of our ministry through friends that spoke highly of CMA.  She looked up our web site and became interested in our work in teaching women in 3rd world countries on self-worth.  Marion is involved in organizing combined meetings among the different churches in Fiji.  She is also the leader of the Labasa Women's Christian Fellowship, which is a coming together of women from different churches.  We are going through this new door by faith believing God to supply the finances.

LIMA, PERU LADIES SEMINAR AND RUTH HOME REPORTS

God moved in an awesome way in an all day seminar from 9 am - 6 pm at Pastor Robert Barriger's church in Lima.  We had 500 ladies in attendance.  One group of ladies drove 7 hours one way to attend.  The altar filled up with women with all kinds of emotional problems for prayer.  God didn't disappoint them.  They went away delivered and healed.  Others came for salvation and were gloriously saved.

The Peruvian government gave Pastor Robert and church an old factory that was used to manufacture illegal drugs.  He has now turned it into a Ruth Home, which is a safe house for battered women and their children.  There is also a Ruth Home for drug and alcohol addicts. We were privileged to share in both homes.  One woman told how her husband tried to stab her.  She held her hands in front of her face and received several cuts on them.  She was ashamed to show them in public and tried to hide them.  Her son had a lot of emotional anger and fear from the past, which caused him to be very insecure.  After we prayed with her and her son, they gave these testimonies:

"I felt myself sure, God loves me and he loves us as we are.  I watched the marks in my hands and said never more will I hide my hands.  God gave me the security that my kids will be with me.  I have to want His will."
Olivia

"I was comforted and said God has healed me.  I know I will go with my Mother.  When I heard my Mother say I was angry, I wanted to cry because I realized it was more than I thought I had made bad, bothering my brothers."
Billy (age 9)

Testimony from Isabel Noriega (our interpreter):
We had a wonderful time with the ladies from Camino de vida and other churches.  The presents of the Holy Spirit was strong healing emotions and wounds.  Glory to God for he has done great things among us!

In the Ruth Home for the drug and alcoholics, God met in an awesome way.  One lady had problems keeping off drugs and was completely delivered.  She came back to service the following Sunday a changed person with a big smile and the joy of the Lord.

CMA was able to give Pastor Robert $1,000 toward the Ruth Homes.  I'm so thankful CMA can have a part in touching the lives of these women, "To touch people is to touch Christ."

CUSCO PERU SACRED VALLEY

CMA helped to plant a church in the Scared Valley with Missionary Mike Sehon by giving $5,000 in 1999 to rent a building, buying pews and a PA system.  We were privileged to see first hand what has been done.  Bro. Mike has bought ground to build and is in the process of building.  The church is running 50-60 people.

CUSCO LADIES MEETING

We were with Pastor Don & Melisa Cooper for a ladies meeting in Cusco.  Again God moved and touched lives.  Melisa reports that the ministry really touched the lives of the people in Cusco.  A lady we prayed for who had been having headaches resulting in memory loss was baptized along with her husband and daughter.   Hope is seen in the eyes of some of the gals that before had been empty.  The meeting helped to break up some fallow ground.

URGENT REQUEST

Due to the rising cost of utilities, postage, etc., we are in desperate need of new supporters.  If you have never supported this ministry, please pray about becoming a partner.  This is the first time ever to make this kind of request so you can see how urgent it is.  Thank you and may God richly bless.

Your financial contributions toward travel expenses for the seminars are greatly appreciated. Please designate on your check the seminar you wish to help with.
