FIJI  REPORT

To all our friends at CMA, my name is Pastor Marion Male.  I am the principal of the Northern Christian Training Centre here in Labasa Fiji Islands.  I have been involved in missionary work here for the past 21 years.  Rev. Helen and her team have been such a blessing in Fiji in the various churches and ladies' meetings they have spoken at while they visited us.

Fiji is on the verge of the mightiest move of God the Islands have ever seen.  There is such a stirring in the hearts of God's people.  Over the past year, Fiji has suffered from a devastating coup, which has crippled the nation economically and has brought the nation to its knees.  Since that time, especially in our area, we have seen the Spirit of God move right across many churches as Hindus in particular have started to flood into the churches.  Many churches have sprung up as a result of this and many stories can be told of the way in which God has saved people.  Like the story of Jiten who was a Hindu priest who became very sick with a serious knee complaint and having met up with a pastor at his work and was prayed for and God miraculously healed him.  Jiten is now a pastor after only 4 or so years as a Christian.  Around 8 months ago he began a church with around 4 members and now he has a church of around 84 people.  He has suffered a lot of persecution in his area, but he has been faithful to the call and God has moved in a mighty way.

For many years I have had a large burden on my heart for the women of the South Pacific where abuse of women is wide spread.  Many women suffer from very low self-esteem.  I was delighted when Rev. Helen contacted me through some very good friends of mine she met in the Philippines who told her of the work we are doing here.  I just feel this is such a God appointment for us to meet.  I know this will not be the last time we will see Rev. Helen and her team in the Fiji Islands.  The door is now wide open for her to come and minister here and the Spirit of God moves her to come.

I would just like to thank all our brothers and sisters from CMA for doing such a vital ministry as you do.  We have been so blessed with having Rev. Helen and Pastors Regina and Lloyd Blount with us.  On the last Saturday we had a combined inter-denominational ladies meeting where ladies from some 12 different churches attended.  We were all very moved by the genuine spirit of Rev. Helen and the way in which God has lifted her up to where she is today.  The word Pastor Regina gave instilled boldness in the hearts of the ladies.  After the word we had a wonderful time of ministry, tears and hugs could be seen all along the front of the meeting hall as God poured in the oil and wine to restore and bring healing as only God can.  What an amazing time we had together.

Rev. Helen has also ministered in local churches as well as in our Bible school and has blessed many with her gentle spirit and heart for God's people.  We also saw signs and wonders in the form of gold and silver dust.  To my knowledge this is the first time gold and silver dust has appeared on people here in Fiji.  Once again our greatest thanks to you all for supporting and allowing Rev. Helen to come to us.  I love the way in which God is bringing together people of like heart for His Great purposes and plans -- All for His Glory.

Thanks once again and our love to you all.
Marion

Helen's Comments

Before leaving for Fiji, I felt strongly this trip would be different than any other previous ones, that God would move in a supernatural way, His wonders to perform.  Sure enough, He did just that in the women's meetings.  He healed the broken hearted and set them free from the prison of bondage.  To God be the glory.  Thanks to our partners for being part of the team in touching people's lives around the world.  My thanks to Lloyd and Regina Blount for going with me.  Their ministry was such a blessing to the people of Fiji.
