ALONE

For I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.  Is. 51:2

I became a widow 15 years ago and I remember how alone I felt; becoming fearful of the unknown, not knowing what the future held for me and the mission work.  My children and grandchildren lived far from me in other states.  I threw myself completely on God's mercy. He became my everything.  Friends and family may give much comfort and inspiration, but in all the inner meaning of life each individual lives apart and alone.  No one can live your life for you.  Your relationship with God, no one but yourself can fulfill.

God has brought me so far in Him these past 15 years.  From a timid shy person with very !ow self-esteem not able to speak publicly, to a person going around the world speaking and teaching other women on self-esteem.  I stand on His word, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  Phil. 4:13

The battles of truth and of progress have usually been fought by lonely souls.  There come times in the lives of all who are living faithfully and worthy that they must stand alone with God, without companionship, perhaps without sympathy or encouragement.

Following are updates on family news from my son Don and grandson Chris.  We recently had a family reunion with all of Don's family at Chris' home.

News from Don

Our family is currently experiencing some very exciting times.  Jessica just turned 16 and is starting her first regular job at the TCBY frozen yogurt store.  What a great place for a teenager to start their work experience with eating free ice cream (yogurt) while you're working.  She will be attending classes at the local junior college in preparation for graduating high school and attending college.  Angel is starting an advanced education program called IB at our public high school after being home schooled for 3 years.  This is a major change that she just loves.  It's very challenging with joining the marching band and theatrical class.  We feel it's a great opportunity for her to advance in preparation for college.

Gwen is still singing in the women's quartet at our church and playing her saxophone for special events.  She's scheduled to sing at Chris's church for homecoming this next weekend.  She's been fighting a battle with fatigue.  We would appreciate your prayers for her as she overcomes this demobilizing affliction.

The new amphibious boat business that I've been developing for almost three years is just about to go into full swing with the completion of the first vehicle this fall.  The vehicle is called Trolleyboats, and it's a fully amphibious boat that looks like a trolleybus.  You can visit our website at www.trolleyboats.com.

We're currently in negotiations with a major cruise line to operate several cities with out Trolleyboats as well as several independent operators.  We know that God has brought us a miracle with completion of this project.

It truly has been a miracle!  and to God be the glory.  We pray that God will allow this business to grow and finance his work and forward the gospel in many ways.  We still have several hurdles and decisions to make so remember us in your prayers.

News from Chris

Our church ministry is doing very well.  Next Sunday we will celebrate our Homecoming Service.  Gwen Redman is coming up from Daytona Beach to sing.  We will have members and former members and guests from all over the south coming to worship.  The Woodville Baptist Church was founded in 1886 and has a long and distinguished history.  I count it a blessing and a challenge to pastor this work for the Lord.  Immediately following homecoming we will have revival services with Dr. Terry Duvall.  We have worked and prayed hard.  I know that these services are going to be successful.

Patricia and the boys are doing very well.  Patricia is homeschooling both of our children. We are utilizing part Abeka curriculum and part "classical education" curriculum.  They are enjoying it very much.  I am working for New York Life as an agent and pastorlng bi-vocationally.  I am looking forward to traveling and preaching in Haiti next year with CMA.

URGENT NEED

The compressor in the air condition and heating unit in the CMA office went out.  We had to replace the unit with a new one.  Not having the $1,000, we had to put it on a credit card.  If you feel lead to help toward this urgent need it would greatly be appreciated.  Thank you so much.

WEB PAGE

We have a new web design thanks to Mr. Bob Sawyer of Tulsa.  He volunteered his services to CMA free of charge to re-design our web site.  He has included a guest book, pictures of the missionaries and children that we sponsor and daily scriptures.  We hope you will check it out and be sure to sign the guest book.

Your financial contributions toward travel expenses for the seminars are greatly appreciated. Please designate on your check the seminar you wish to help with.
