Two years ago I was invited by Marion Male to conduct a ladies seminar in Labasa, Fiji Islands. I was so impressed with the work Marion was doing among the youth. She had a vision to build a Bible School and a work shop for the youth. I invited Marion and her friend Jo Miller from New Zealand to the states to raise funds to build the school. They will return back to Fiji & New Zealand on Thanksgiving Day. REPORT FROM MARION:Currently Mrs. Jo Miller (from New Zealand) and myself - Marion Male (Founding Principal of The Northern Christian Training Centre - Labasa, Fiji Islands) are staying with Mrs. Helen Redman at her invitation. Two years ago Mrs. Redman came to Fiji and conducted women's seminars in different areas in Fiji at my invitation. Her powerful testimony and general spirit was a great blessing to many abused ladies. The vision of the Northern Christian Training Centre is to the many nations of the South Pacific. It is not only a Bible School, but we also teach practical subjects, such as building, carpentry, crafts and how to establish a cottage industry. Mrs. Redman has arranged for us to itinerate around the USA, promoting NCTC. Having just finished building our first staff house and workshop we are now ready to move into a new level of building and commence our students accommodation. We believe God for the provision for this next stage. We thank God for the wonderful pastors and churches with whom He has allowed us to share the NCTC vision. CONTRIBUTIONS:Should you feel to contribute to our building program; donations can be forwarded to CMA. For the cost of just $6,000 (USD) or $7,500 (USD) you, or your church, could build a bungalow to house 8 students. All the labor for the building will be done by our students and staff, or if a church would like to raise the money for a bungalow and come and build it for us, under supervision from one of our staff, we would love to hear from you. Accommodations, food and transport will be provided for teams at a cost of $10 (USD) per day.WORLDWIDE MISSIONARY EVANGELISMURGENT PRAYER REQUESTWednesday, October 30th at 12 noon, I will go in for a double eye surgery. I'll have a cornea transplant plus cataracts removed on my left eye. The eye test October 14th showed my left eye was 20/100, in June it was 20/70. My right eye has cataracts also but the Dr. won't do that eye until my left eye completely heals which he says will be about a year. Please pray that the surgery will be highly successful with a speedy recovery.I won't be able to travel for several months on behalf of CMA. I need you to stand behind us more than ever with your faithful support & prayers. Your Missionary & Friend, Helen Redman |
