FROM THE DARKEST HOUR TO A LIFE CHANGING MIRACLE

by Don Redman

The following testimony was written by my son Donald R. Redman of Ormond Beach, FL. Don also serves as vice-president of Christian Missionary Association.

It is in our most difficult times that God shows Himself faithful by encouraging, strengthening, and directing while occasionally performing life-changing miracles.  So is the case for our family during the past eight years, and especially the last five.  I was in a helicopter crash in May 1994 that left me paraplegic with a prognosis that said I would never walk again.  God had another plan though:  I was walking within six months and haven't been under doctor's care or needed any medication since being released from the hospital in July 1994.

We decided to sell our automotive business and pursue the amphibious tour business "Water Wheels of Daytona" that we had started in the spring of 1997.  The sale of the automotive business was to finance the development of the amphibious venture.  The buyers of the auto business defaulted on all of the contractual agreements and left us responsible for the company loans that we had cosigned for company equipment.

We were devastated and financially desperate and hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.  As a means of survival I started brokering ex-military amphibious vehicles throughout North America and the islands.  God used this to sustain my family financially while birthing the opportunity for a new technology amphibious vehicle (AV).  We hired our first naval architect in October 1998 to design a new concept AV.  We had no idea how big or expensive a project we were tackling.  Only through faith and God's provision could we accomplish such an incredible undertaking.  It has been an unforgettable journey that can only be summarized as a miracle.  Not only did we see the hand of God move providentially sustaining our family by His mercy and grace; but, God used devastating circumstances at a point in our lives when we were financially incapacitated to bring about a once-in-a-life-time opportunity, state-of-the-art AV called the Trolley Boat.

We recently moved into our new production facilities two miles from our home in Ormond Beach, Florida with current orders for ten vehicles and potential beyond our wildest dreams.  Many people are scheduled to visit within the next few weeks.  Inquiries to our website are from all areas of the world.

I'm deeply humbled that God would be so gracious to us, by bringing about such an incredible accomplishment during our bleakest time.  His word never fails and His promise of encouragement, strength and direction is always present.  God led us from our darkest hours to our brightest and once again proved His presence and faithfulness in our lives.  If you are facing some difficult times, take heart you're a candidate for a MIRACLE

An old friend, Rev. Tom Denny, who currently pastors in Smithton, IL. sent me a poem after hearing this testimony, which I would like to share.

DON'T QUIT!

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
and you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must,
BUT DON'T YOU QUIT!
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
when he might have won had he stuck it out,
DON'T GIVE UP!
Though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And never can you tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that
YOU MUST NOT QUIT!
