Sunday, June 18th Sis. Esther McMasters and I met up in Memphis, TN to leave on the 7:25 p.m. flight for Bucharest, Romania to be told the plane had been cancelled till the next day, causing us to be a day late getting to our destination. Therefore, we missed our only day of rest on the trip before starting on our long journey by car to cross the border into Moldova. Even though the trip was very hard physically, God moved in a super natural way in the seminars with 440 women in all during the 2 seminars. Moldova is still under communist rule which has stiff regulations crossing the border. The large seminar in Bender with 360 ladies present was made up of all different denominations and areas of the country, some were from Ukraine. Most of them spoke Russian. Many lives were changed from their testimonies given as follows which was worth it all. Thank you for being part of the team that made this possible with your giving. More testimonies will be continued in next months newsletter. “The women’s conferences in Chisinau, Moldova and Bender, Transnistria were a very big blessing. All of the ladies were very much encouraged by Helen. They admired her stamina and enthusiasm in coming from such a distance at her age to give them her testimony and teaching on self-esteem. Especially the transparency of sharing the details from her life, marriage and raising the children was a great impartation in the life of these pastors wives. They realized that they are not the only ones that feel lonely and with no friends to share their burdens and made them to think about finding ways to adjust their life now while their children are small. The majority of the ladies testified that seeing Sis. Helen and Sis. Esther teaching the women and traveling so far at their age made them to change the way they think about themselves. In this part of the world even at 50 women feel that they are very old. That nobody needs them anymore and surely they can’t do something for God. But after this seminar they all left energized, encouraged and with a fresh zeal and desire to look for ways of serving God. For us as a ministry it has been a great honor and privilege that you came to minister and share your life experiences into the lives of the native missionaries and pastors wives here in Eastern Europe.
