TESTIMONES I have received many testimonies from women across the country about what my book, “Lessons for Living” has meant to them. I thought I would share a few of them with all of you. If you have not purchased one of these books, please do so for yourself or for a friend who is in need of encouragement or uplifting. I know it will be a blessing. The book is $12.00 which includes shipping. “When you become alone, your life isn’t cut in half. Neither is it over. It changes. You change...You will have to learn new ways to do things and open yourself to new thoughts, new persons...You are building a new life, not in place of, but onto, the life that was, and this is a whole new creation.” —From “Never Alone” by Phyllis Hobe Sis. Redman, “Fear not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am your God, and I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Is. 41:10 I want to tell you that your book has been such a blessing to me. The scriptures you shared were so good for me. As you know, I lost my son that was 59 years old last Fall. It was such a shock to me. From the time we learned he had cancer, he only lived 7 weeks. He kept good spirits about it and he was with Harvey and I for parts of 3 weeks. We shared in laughter, tears and prayers and then the Lord took him home. There was much grief to deal with and your book was so helpful for what I went through. You were really anointed to write this book. I am sharing it with my son’s wife and I know she will be blessed. God bless you. Mildred Fix Ponca City, OK Sis. Helen, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” Prov. 3:5-6 Upon receiving your book I was a widow for one year and had given up. I felt of no use to anyone. It seemed I was moving along without thought or a plan for my life. A friend gave me your book “Lessons for Living” at noon one day and by evening I had read it through. From that day I began living again and not setting around doing nothing. The book was very meaningful and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone who has suffered a loss. Maxine Burd Sis. Redman, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me” Phil. 4:13 Your book has been an inspiration to me and has lifted my spirits. I lost my husband of 46 years and went through triple by pass surgery. It was hard both mentally and spiritually. When I received your book “Lessons for Living” I found it to be a blessing by increasing my faith and trust in God. I keep it under my pillow and read it at night to help me sleep. Thank you so much for writing it. Mary Gaynor Cahokia, IL cc |
