WHY MINISTER TO ABUSED WOMEN IN HONDURAS?

In the early 90’s God gave me a burden and a burning desire to reach out to make a difference in the lives of women in 3rd world countries. They are abused by their husbands or men they might be living with. Because of the abuse, they have low self-esteem and a feeling of worthlessness. They don’t know how special they are to God, that He made them special in His likeness with a plan for their lives. I can relate to these women for I have walked in their shoes.

In Honduras:
The number 2 cause of death is family violence.
The number 2 cause of injury is family violence.
One women is murdered every 1.75 days.

In Honduras:
There's a woman alone in poverty whose drunken husband comes home and beats her senseless every day and tells her no one loves or wants her and she has no where to go.
A man tells a poor family he has work in the States for their 15 year old daughter. They give him permission to take her to the U.S. where she finds herself a sex slave for an international sex ring.
A two year old little girl is locked in her dirt-walled, dirt-floored house all day in 90 degree heat without food or water because her mentally ill mother roams the streets sleeping with men and her grandmother is in Tegucigalpa begging for money under a bridge.
And then there’s the woman who husband carves his name in her back twice with a machete, rapes his 15 year old daughter and tells them he’ll kill them if they tell. They know he’s not lying because they’ve witnessed him commit three other murders.

It is such a delight having the privilege to teach these women about their identity in Christ and on self-esteem. To make a difference in their lives is what life is all about for me because to touch people is to touch Christ. Pastor’s Lloyd & Regina Blount and Esther McMasters will be accompanying me on this trip. Please pray about being a partner in the lives of these abused women and children. It takes 3 kinds of people to make up the team, those who ‘send’, ‘pray’ and ‘go’. Without you, we would not be able to ‘go’. Below is a break down of the expenses for the seminar. Please designate on your check, “Honduras Seminar”.
$200.00 Global Outreach for organization of the trip
$640.00 food, water & transportation
$600.00 motel expense for the team
$600.00 seminar expense
$2,545.30 airfare for the team
$4,585.30 total expenses

Your financial contributions toward travel expenses for the seminars are greatly appreciated.  Please designate on your check the seminar you wish to help with.

We'd love to hear from you:
