HONDURAS SEMINARS

A GREAT SUCCESS

When we arrived in Tequcigalpa (Honduras capital city) airport, we were meet by our hostess Gracie Murphree and her 24/7 body guard, Sanchez. We traveled several hours through a blinding rain storm (running off the road 3 times) in the mountains to reach our first destination in Talanga. Finally arriving at our motel to find the storm had knocked out all the electricity. Being a missionary, you learn ways to cope with all kinds of conditions (oh, the life of a missionary, what fun!!!).
In spite of all the inconveniences, God moved in a special way in all 3 seminars which were held in different locations. God healed the hurts and wounds of abused women and children.
We were privileged in getting acquainted with the chief of police when he came to Gracie’s house to have breakfast with us. One of the highlights was speaking to all the officials of the city to encourage them due to the political situation of their country. Many testimonies were given how they came with a lot of stress but going back to their office were encourage knowing God was with them and would give them His wisdom. Please pray for the people of Honduras. The country especially need our prayers at this time.
Many personal testimonies were handed in by the women. Because of the political situation, the rains and storms, Gracie has not been able to forward them on to me due to the internet being down. They will be in the next newsletter. Following are testimonies from our CMA team. Thank you to our supporters for making these seminars possible. It takes team work to do the job.

During our recent mission trip to the country of Honduras, I noticed that this country seemed to be in distress in many areas. However, while we were there I felt we were able to effectively minister to the needs of many people. We met some wonderful people that love God. We also ministered to a group of people in government positions that came with a look of frustration on their faces. They went away smiling and rejoicing in what they heard and felt. It was an awesome experience!!

We have learned that people from anywhere, who have an openness and hunger for God, will receive what God has for them! This is what happened in Honduras. The Lord opened the door to several denominations and groups. They all had one thing in common, openness and hunger for the Spirit of God and God’s Word. As the people quickly received, we saw transformation before our eyes. Every conference held it’s own momentum and such powerful results. The day we got to speak to National leaders was an honor and joy. Judges, lawyers, political and military leaders were in attendance. It was a powerful day. As they laid aside their position and authority and they received from a Heavenly authority. It was amazing to watch their faces as they heard and received without hesitation. Afterwards, many volunteered to tell what the teachings did for them! It answered many questions for them personally, their nation and their positions. We are in awe at the Greatness of God to walk over culture, language and religious barrier
and for God to show Himself to any people who so desires more of Him. Though there were many inconveniences and difficulties, the mission was profitable in every way. Thanks to your prayers and support that made this mission impossible a “mission accomplished”. We also so appreciate our home church, Abundant Life Church, for their support and prayers. We are humbled and grateful to the goodness and perfect plan of God.
