LEARNING TO TRUST GOD
"Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed"
Psalm 37:3 (Amplified Bible)
The Lord has had some unusual ways of providing for our needs over the years. As we have seen God’s unending supply, we have learned this life of “faith”. I have discovered that God is completely trustworthy. God has always supplied the needs even if the provision arrived at the 11th hour. Once I had planned a pastors’ seminar in the Philippines. Three weeks prior to leaving, I discovered I was short over $3,000. No one except my secretary and the Lord knew the problem.
My phone rang several days later. It was a pastor from Connecticut saying he had been praying about the seminar and wanted to help. The Lord told him to send $3,000...exactly the amount I needed!
Another time I was within a day of leaving for Haiti and still short a few hundred dollars for the trip. Friends from New Jersey called the night before my departure asking about the trip. I told them the amount I needed. It was the exact amount God had spoken to them to send. Every need was met and supplied.
I have learned that God never gets in a hurry (even though we may feel pressure and strain).
However, He is never late!
