UPDATE ON BILL & MARLENE BURCH
www.faithinactionworldoutreach.com
CMA MISSIONARIES TO HAITI

Marlene gave me a recent report on their workers in Haiti. Gary, one of their 8 boys they raised was missing. He has been found and also their missions director, his family and 2 more of their workers are all alright. God answered prayer! Their other boy, Rico is back from the Dominican Republic working long hours to salvage all of the office equipment from the collapsed mission compound. Bill & Marlene are sending large cargo every two weeks through Agape. They are sending hundreds of love bags with personal hygiene needs which arrive in Rico’s and the missionaries hands in less than a week to be distributed to the Haitians. The prison is completely destroyed leaving the prisoners loose on the streets. Because of this, it is very dangerous for the women living in tent cities. Please check out the above website for more details on the situation in Haiti for Faith In Action.
I received an interesting article written by Harry Gruits from Rhema International stating he met a man on the plane while going to Haiti before the earthquake hit to check on the hospital his mother, Patricia Beall Gruits founded. The man worked for United Nations and told him the history of the Creole language. Creole is a mixture of French and African. It was used by the slaves so the French slave owners, who brought them to the island of Haiti, wouldn’t understand what they were saying. Haiti was the slave capital of the world...all slaves first left Africa to come to Haiti. Families were divided and the best and strongest slaves were sent to America. When the slave trade ended and the French left Haiti, they left these poor people behind with no resources, nothing...they just left them there. Could you imagine being put on an island, you might as well say a deserted island, with no resources? This is how Haiti, the poorest country in the world, began.

LAPU-LAPU PHILIPPINE
LADIES SEMINAR
MAY 3-7, 2010

We need you to become a team partner with your support and prayers by planting seeds into 100 Filipino woman’s lives that will pay huge dividends throughout eternity. The expense for the seminar, travel, food and lodging will be approximately $8,000.00. You can donate on-line or mail a check to our office. Thank you for helping to lighten the load by doing your part.

LITTLE HENRY & HELEN JAVILLO

I was invited to the Philippines March of 1989 by Jun Javillo. His wife Ellen had a baby boy, naming him Henry, after my late husband. The following year they had a little girl they named Helen, after me. Little Henry and Helen are now in college. I’m very thankful to say CMA sponsored them all through their school years and now on into college. CMA is making it possible financially for Helen and her mother Ellen to attend the ladies seminar. It will be a happy reunion. Jun Javillo, the father and husband, is still having a lot of physical problems and is unable to work. CMA is their only source of income.

Your financial contributions toward travel expenses for the seminars are greatly appreciated.  Please designate on your check the seminar you wish to help with.
